I would like to thank all of the voters of the new 12th District for their vote of confidence in my leadership. I want to also thank the community and elected leaders in the district who supported my candidacy for election in this new Senate District.
I look forward to representing the Democratic Party in the general election in November.
During the past three months, I addressed the issues that the district’s residents are concerned with, and I focused on the district’s needs. I visited every neighborhood and community to meet with constituents and I listened to their concerns. The 12th District is a very diverse district and I look forward to fighting for the needs of all of the district’s constituents as I have always done during my career in public service.
Senator Steve Landek
I am running for the 12th Illinois Senate District seat. And I need your vote and support.
I entered public service at a very young age to underscore the meaning of public service … working for the benefit of the public.
From my first position in a local park district to my post as the mayor of Bridgeview, I have worked to put the Southwest and West Chicagoland and suburbs on the map.
When everyone was skeptical, I built Toyota Park which today is one of the region’s few major attractions next only to Midway Airport.
I’m pushing for pension reform to make legislatures receive the same benefits that state employees receive, not more. I am working to consolidate government and save our precious tax dollars. When a tax dollar is spent, I want it to have meaning in terms of effective and necessary services for you.
I will put my experience to work for you, and take my fight for better education, improved transportation, creating a better economy and more jobs in Illinois to the Illinois Legislature where I will be your voice.
I need your help and I hope you join me.
